The Fox and Duck.
The brief.
The Fox and Duck in Therfield wanted to raise its profile to attract more customers using social media as a driver. We knew with our support the pub’s reach and impact could be much bigger.
Our approach.
With the support of then landlord Ivan Titmuss, we took over the running of all the pub’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter (now X) and later, Instagram. We positioned Ivan as the voice of the pub and made use of his sometimes off-the-wall ideas to build a regular stream of engaging content.
The result.
The Fox and Duck won national two awards for its digital marketing as its online following grew. With the majority of its online engagement initially coming from Facebook, post likes ranged from 10 to 200 and a steady increase in follower numbers of around 20 a month.
Ivan was delighted, saying: “The results have been outstanding. We get at least 50 per cent of our bookings now through social media.”
